The game

Every week there are two cards. The Full-Week card has every game of the week. The Sunday card has the Sunday and Monday games only. Pick one: you choose the winner of every game on it. No point spreads, no over/unders, just who wins.

An entry costs $10. Whoever gets the most games right splits the pot. If three people tie for the most right, the pot splits three ways. Simple.

Not sure about a game? Box it.

Box Play lets you take both teams in a game, so that game can’t be wrong for you. It costs double for every game you box: 1 box is $20, 2 boxes $40, 3 boxes $80, 4 boxes $160. Four is the max. Feeling lazy? Auto-pick fills in whatever you left blank.

You can also buy an entry for someone else: put their wallet address in, pay, and the entry (and any winnings) are theirs.

When picks close

The Full-Week card closes at the first kickoff of the week, usually Thursday night. The Sunday card closes at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday (or earlier if there’s a morning game in London). Once a card is closed, nobody can get in, not even us. The site stops taking picks a minute early so you’re never caught by the clock.

Ties, postponements, weird stuff

If a game ends in a tie, gets postponed to another week, or gets called off, it counts as correct for everyone. You don’t lose anything on a game that didn’t happen.

If four or fewer games on a card actually get played, the card is cancelled and everyone gets a full refund, including any discount you got. Nobody keeps a cent of it.

Where the money goes

Out of every $10 entry: $8 goes into the pot, 50¢ goes into the jackpot, and $1.50 is our cut. That’s 80 / 5 / 15, and the board shows the live numbers. The split is locked in on each card when it’s created, so what you see when you enter is what you get.

The pot is divided equally between the entries with the most correct picks. If somehow everybody scores zero, everybody wins.

The Perfect-Card jackpot

Get every single game right and you also win the jackpot, on top of your share of the pot. If more than one person goes perfect, they split it. If nobody does, it rolls over to next week and keeps growing. Every $PICKEM trade feeds it too.

One catch: at least 8 games on the card need to have actually been played. A card wiped out by weather doesn’t pay the jackpot on three real games.

Hold $PICKEM in your wallet when you enter and you pay less: 5%, 10% or 15% off depending on how much you hold. The tiers are on the token page. The discount comes out of our cut, never the pot, so nobody else pays for your discount.

Results and payouts

Scores come from ESPN and are double-checked against a second feed before they’re posted, usually late Monday night after the last game. Then there’s a 12-hour cool-off where the results are public and anyone can check them. After that, payouts unlock, normally Tuesday morning.

You collect your winnings (or a refund on a cancelled card) from My Entries with the wallet that owns the entry. Nothing expires; claim it whenever you like.

Every card has a results page that shows each game, the official score with a link to ESPN, how every entry scored, who won and how much. All of it is read straight from the blockchain. We can’t change a result after the cool-off, we can’t hold your money, and we can’t stop payouts. If the site ever went down, you could still collect straight from the contract.

The fine print

You must be 18 or older. Paid pools are regulated or banned in a lot of places. This service is not available to people in restricted regions or anywhere it would be illegal, and it’s on you to know whether that includes where you are.
